Certification, verification of Food Safety Systems (HACCP):
HACCP system that can be certified according to MSZ EN ISO 22000:2005
standard
Application of Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) system
according to Hungarian Codex Alimentarius chapters 2-1/1969, it is a verifiable
system!
Who are those for whom the MSZ EN ISO 22000:2005 standard was made?
It is a guideline for all members of food chain who want to establish and
operate an effective food safety management system. They are the direct participants
of the food chain (i.e. manufacturers of fodder, agricultural producers, food
manufacturers and commercial firms, restaurants, food store-houses, transporters,
etc.) and indirect participants (manufacturers of equipment and packing materials
for food industry, etc.).
The purpose of the standard was that the HACCP (Hazard Analysis and
Critical Control Points) system, that was developed by Codex Alimentarius
Committee of FAO/WHO and that is mandatory in numerous countries of the world,
so in Hungary, can be certified.
MSZ EN ISO 22000:2005 standard includes the principles of HACCP
and the steps of its application. The hazards revealed by the hazard analysis
are categorised into two groups and it includes two informative-type enclosures.
The food-safety system established according to MSZ EN ISO 22000:2005 standard (requirements related to the organisations participating in
the food chain) can be certified in itself, but at the same time originating
its structure, its requirements can be integrated with other management systems
as MSZ EN ISO 9001: 2001, MSZ EN ISO 14001:2005 standards, with common implementation
or with connection later.
In the last few years organisations work according to specifications called
standard but developed by non-standardisation bodies. Among them the only
one is ISO 22000 standard the final version of which 150 countries will approve.
The mandatory specification of Codex Alimentarius Hungaricus: regulation

is the safe food. In conformity with EU requirements in order to ensure the
food safety the HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) system
shall be compulsorily applied in Hungary according to the regulation 2-1/1969
of Codex Alimentarius Hungaricus. This application of HACCP can be harmonised
with the application of quality management system according to MSZ EN ISO
9001:2001 standard.

participating in the food chain according to MSZ EN ISO 22000:2005 standard
and certification of integrated management systems, and verification of HACCP
systems developed according to the requirements of Codex Alimentarius Hungaricus.
